Please note that when applying for a Vietnam e-visa, you need to upload 2 types of photos: a portrait photo and a passport page photo. Both must be digital and meet the following requirements:

Your portrait photo when applying for an e-visa must meet the following requirements:

• Photo size: 4 x 6 cm (standard size for Vietnamese photos) in JPG or JPEG format with a capacity of less than 2MB
• Photo must be taken within the last 6 months
• Photo must be clear, in color and not edited with computer software
• Photo must not contain other objects or people
• Photo must be taken on a simple light-colored background
• Photo must have a clear contrast with the background
• Photo must not have "red eye" phenomenon
• Photo of your head, shoulders and upper body showing you with:
  • Facing forward and looking straight into the camera
  • Simple facial expression, mouth closed
  • Eyes open and visible
  • No hair covering the eyes
  • No head covering (unless for religious or medical reasons)
  • Nothing covering your face
  • No shadows on your face or back

• Clear and high quality, JPG or JPEG format
• Full display of information on your passport page
• No missing, cropped or hidden parts
• Maximum file size is 2MB
