
Instructions for applying for Vietnam e-visa at Do Thanh

E-visa (Electronic Visa) is a type of visa issued by the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to foreigners online, starting from February 2017. Foreigners do not need to go to the Embassy/Consulate but can register and receive visas via email/website.

I. What is the validation time of Vietnam e-visa?
According to the latest regulations, e-visas for foreign visitors to Vietnam will be valid for a maximum of 90 days, valid for one or more entries.
In addition, the duration and number of entries will be clearly stated on the issued visa:

II. Who is applicable for an e-visa to Vietnam?
On August 14, 2023, the Government issued Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP on the application of electronic visas for citizens of countries and territories; international border gates allowing foreigners to enter and exit with electronic visas.
From August 15, 2023, the Government decided to issue electronic visas to citizens of all countries and territories.

IV. E-visa application form
1. Portrait photo (ID photo)
Size: 4x6cm (equivalent to passport size).
Background: white, face looking straight, no hat, no glasses.
Format: JPG or JPEG.
Note: Must be a new photo, clear face and not edited to change the identity.
2. Photo of passport page with personal information
Requirements:
- First page of passport (clearly showing full name, date of birth, passport number, nationality...).
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of entry.
- Format: JPG or JPEG.
- Note: No blur, missing corners, glare.

3. Personal information and entry itinerary
- Full name, gender, date of birth, nationality.
- Passport number, date of issue – date of expiry.
- Occupation, permanent address abroad.
- Expected date of entry – exit.
- Port of entry (eg: Noi Bai Airport, Tan Son Nhat Airport…).
- Purpose of entry: tourism, work, trade…
4. Valid email address
- Receive E-visa results in PDF format.
- Be sure to enter it correctly to avoid losing your email.
