Thursday, 18/9/2025, 15:29 (UTC+07:00)

One of the most common types of Vietnam visa is the tourist visa (DL). Foreign citizens entering Vietnam for tourism purposes are granted this type of visa. Tourist visas will not apply to those who intend to work in Vietnam.

The current Law 51/2019/QH14 stipulates that the maximum temporary stay for a tourist visa is 30 days. If the tourist visa is valid for more than 30 days, the holder will be granted a temporary visa for 30 days and can extend it if they want to stay in Vietnam longer. However, the tourist visa has not been considered for extension since the COVID-19 outbreak.
